checked out m/f...you're right...how dumb is that....so it would seem to me that i then should simply be able to tap the bolt up into the hull...of course that would make sense but after looking for the nut as you explained I've come to the conclusion that in the sportster it is directly under the engine...so I'd think the only way to it is to actually lift the engine.....wow!:ack:

Bubba,

Stick your head waaaaaaaay in the rear of the engine compartment. You may have to lay across the top of the engine. Then stick your head straight down then look towards the bow direction....You might be able to see it. Remember this Nylock nut may be encapsulated in silicone or goop.
