Buzzer/beeper location

Hello all,
my 97 challenger (15') runs good with no problems whatsoever, except the buzzer speaker is inaudible.
When I put the lanyard in the DESS port, I can barely hear the 2 beeps, they sound muffled and very very low...perhaps the speaker/buzzer is on its way out. WHere is that buzzer located?
I searched on the forum, but could only come with threads about low fuel or low oil warning...I am aware that I can replace it with a generic buzzer from an electronic store but would like to located it on the boat.

JC, It's most likely behind the "dash". it's a little black cylinder shape thing.

You may want to read this thread if you want an OEM beeper at 1/3 the cost of BRP.

Or run to your local radio shack and pick it up. No wait for the mail man and its works exactly the same. Part # 273 - 068. Runs like 9 bucks.

Yea, the buzzer is under the front hood. If you look under the steering wheel ( in the area where your lower legs would be if you are sitting down) you can see where the sound comes out and that will tell you where to look for it under the front hood. :cheers:
