Just hit the wake with full throttle. Apply full throttle about 20-30' before you get there and it will take care of the rest. Try to keep the nose up so you land on your tail, rather than nose first or even flat. It will be a soft landing, unless you hit the ground when you sink the tail. I have never done that, but I have heard of guys tearing the jet pump off by landing in shallow water and hitting the ground.
I have hit 3-5' waves off the beach and gotten a good 8' of air (over the top of the wave, so close to 12' off the water).
Did even bigger airs first time I rode an XP back in 1996. On a large lake called Possum Kingdom near Fort Worth, they drive around big yachts, like you would normally see on salt water. They put out a really clean and BIG wake, maybe 6-8'. Hit that at full throttle and you can count your hang time on two hands:reddevil:
