So I have been thinking about buying a Sea-Doo for a long time, but to be honest I really dont have the money to shell out for anything really over $1,000.

I have been searching Craigslist past couple weeks, to find an older 94+ Sea-Doo(Hate the old boxy look) that needs some work that won't be to expensive to fix up.

I know very little about working on engines but I have a brother in-law that is willing to help so im not really worried about that. But I guess what I would like to know, what kind of things are not worth fixing.

Is there a better place to search for these "projects" besides Craiglist/Ebay.
Also, is there some Sea-Doo repair, do it yourself, resource web sites.

Anything to point in my in the right direction would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

Ebay or Craigslist will be your best bets.. As for a place to get help repairing your sea-doo well seadooforum.com is a good place :)

I thought someone might say that.

Ok Searching Craiglist I see alot of of "Motor needs rebuilt" how much is something like that going to cost me. Is it something me and my brother in law can get done?

depending if it needs the bottom end as well, but topend, with gaskets, and probably be good to rebuild the carb...$400-450. Anything else, like crank, rods...etc, check out SBT..sbtontheweb.com
