Hi Everyone,
I just want to introduce my self my name is Matt and I moved to Charleston SC in 2013 and its time to get back into riding. I have been gone from the RXP and RXT seen for several years and I am about to purchase 2011 RXT 260. I have a few questions to refresh my memory and to learn about the new skis.

1. Has reliability stayed the same? I got 5 or 6 season out of my 05 RXP before the superchager went south at 172 hrs. My 07 RXT that I had for 2 summers was flawless in the time that I owned it.

2. Has fuel consumption gotten any better, I plan on doing a lot of long distance riding here in Charleston.

3. What are some of the new features on the RXT it look like the hull has changed a bit.

4. I have found a 2011 RXT 260 with 38 hours on it and the seller has it listed at $9599. Do you guys think this is a decent price? What do you guys think this ski is worth?

Thank you in advance for all of your insight and help.

Having not been an owner of any 4-tec skis, but I have been doing a lot of research as I may be buying one soon.

I don't have much to comment on besides the fact that the Superchargers SHOULD be rebuilt every 100 hours, regardless of SeaDoo's 200hour recommendation.

Hi I have a 2011 RXT X as 260 when I got mine with 14 hours on it a paid 14000 for it. Not bad price. great ski very fast

I don't think fuel consumption has improved much

however some buddies that have made modest mods have commented that overall economy has improved by a few % because they can cruise at lower rpm's, however they all insist that the best way to save fuel is to stay off the boost, not just on the top end but on takeoff as well.

What kinda modest mods?

going from memory, so don't quote me, but I believe the first step was air intake and catch can, from what they tell me it gets them about 5-7% overall improvement in economy. I don't track their mileage improvements closely because I always have 1/4 tank or more when they have been beeping from a while, and I used to have 1/3 tank :)

they all stress that the best fuel economy boost was to baby it.

Just like any turboed motor really. Thanks!

I'll give you turbo results in a couple weeks, I know two local guys that have dumped their SC and going turbo's :)

(I already used the term "you are clinically insane" and promised to bring flowers to the funeral.)
