Ok so just thinking and pitching this idea..not sure if it will really work but in theory it should.

You would need a A double-pole, double-throw (DPDT) center-off toggle switch. These are sometimes labeled as "on-off-on" OR just end up using the same VTS button on the steering but modify the wiring (haven't really looked at how this switch is wired yet)

this has been done. search here and there are links to them. its basically taking relays to manage power disruption. I'm tossing around the idea in my head of make the system function like an auto window on a car, with an auto down function and the regular up movement

that is basically what i was thinking off because this motor is exactly the same as the window crank.
there is a store here that even sells these motors dirty cheap so if anyone wants one of these motor real cheap let me know.
if i go by the store next time i will see if i can match it and get the price.

doubt you have to even do that...
i had to replace mine in a dodge caravan and its the same motor.
they seem to be universal ones up to a certain year then they changed the mechanism.
