i am resurrecting my abused old 93. replacing a couple of broken mounts. i broke off 1 mount bolt in the hull. has anybody fixed this? is there a metal nut of sorts bonded into the hull? or are the bolts threaded into the glass? i know drilling stainless bolts is next to impossible. my possible options are; leaving the mount with only 1 bolt. putting a splint over the broken side with a couple of lag bolts straight into the glass. drilling thru the mount plate, which is also stainless, and lag bolting it there. anybody with any thoughts? thanks.

what up derek...looked at diagram, think, like you said, a nut molded into belly of hull..what about get'n dremmel, cut'n slot in, on whats left of the bolt, then proceed w/ a FAT flat-head and tak'n a gander...

it is broken off flush with hull. plus whenever a bolt breaks, the thread is too tight to unscrew. that's why it broke. anyway, looks like a bug hunk of aluminum molded into inner hull. i am just gonna drill and tap a couple of 5/16ths coarse threads and bolt it down with washers hanging over top of mount.

hey..you said.."any thoughts"...some penetrating lube, plus the heat from dremmel wheel, may free up the corrosion???
