The 02 to 04 seem to have the same graphics but my 04 seats have some orange fabric on mine, and I think they are a slightly more resilient fabric than the earlier years. The boat has been great to me, bought it 3 years ago from the original owner and he said he literally didn't have to do a single thing to it. Since then I have only had to put a belt on it. Going to be putting the port side temp sensor on soon to see if she runs any better (not that it runs bad right now). Just curious, does your 03 have an alternator on the port side of the motor? Just wondering around what year they started putting them on as mine has a full alternator. I also put the Solas impeller on this year and it doesn't seem to make too much a difference.

Ok yes that's how mine is with the orange fabric as well. I'm not sure about alternator location, I'd have to check on that. Is the port side temp sensor something worth changing? Are there any noticeable signs if it needs to be replaced? Would you happen to have the link to the impeller you used? Mine is a little chewed up, I wouldn't mind changing it. What's your top speed? Just curious.

There are definitely cases of them running like trash and the sensor totally fixing it but there is also cases of people just replacing them for the heck of it and realizing they have been missing out on power the whole time or it decreased so slowly it wasn't noticeable. My boat on gps did 55 the first year I had it, before I put the impeller on this year it would only do like 52 and now with the solas impeller it goes like 50-51. Here is a link to the impeller http://www.iboats.com/MC-CD-22-39-Impeller-Concord-Solas/dm/view_id.478097

That's awesome, I can get mine to 50 mph on gps speedometer, my onboard one is not working but I hear gps is more accurate anyways. Would you happen to have the link to the port side sensor? I'm also wanting to replace the spin on fuel filter but cannot find a direct link to the correct one, have you ever changed that? Also on my list of things to do is change the jet pump and stator oil. I guess it's a good time to change those oils once you get in there to change the impeller, is that true?

Yes, you should change the 2 oils every end of season. You will need the pump that screws on to the quart of gear oil. The Walmarts in my area carry the gear oil and pump. The impeller change requires an extra deep socket that mercury sells, I just made my own by grabbing a shallow socket from tractor supply and cut it in half and welded in a piece of exhaust pipe to extend it and it worked well. I used an air impact to get it off.

Awesome man I just ordered both! I hate to be a pest but I have a couple more questions. What two specific oils do I need and what amounts? Also what pump are you referring to? Not sure if our walmarts would carry that stuff but I do have a BassPro shop and Westmarine close by and they probably have them. My impeller is a little dinged up but I might try and get through this season with it so I'd be just doing the oil changes. I appreciate the help man, thanks.
