Iquestion, if the boat motors over heated would the Computor shut down the engines causing them not to start.
Reason i ask this is i had the boat out on the water and a continuous alarm sounded, however the boat was running well but then the engines both cut out after about 15 minutes and when i tryed to re-Start both engines they just turned over and did not fire.?
However when i got the boat home both engines started.

No, the overheating alarm is just like an idiot light, it only makes noise and doesn't do anything to the engines.

Now if you were really overheating and kept running it then you have seized the engine and that is why it stopped running. Once the hot parts cool the pistons can unstick and still run once cole but the damage has been done and will not go away.

I would check the compression in both engines.

No the engines both turned over easy in the water straight after they stopped, but they both did not fire to start. Any other ideas

Not really, like I said the alarm has nothing to do with them running or not.
I would still check the compression.

Nothing tells the engine to shut down except for the kill switch lanyard.

There are no engine safety systems in these.
