Will do, I won’t take delivery till she’s perfect.

On the copy of the bill it says rebuild kit $52 all I know.
I think you’ve got more than settings issues. It sounds to me like you’ve got aftermarket carb kits installed, and they just don’t seem to work well at all. Have them rebuilt with the proper Mikuni kits and OEM needles and seats and that should solve your bogging issue. I’d still be searching for the source of that fuel smell though...

Spoke to the mechanic, he said he only rebuilt the carbs on the right side(2 carbs per engine). So why would both engines be doing that...in limbo for now. He said OEM parts too..

So at this point what would be causing it? He’s doing research. Still didn’t bring the boat to him and will let me know once he has a plan.

When I had that issue it turned out to be an exhaust leak. I’d go through the whole system again and check for leaks. If that’s okay, You may be looking at crank seals, and at that point you’re better off just springing for a rebuilt motor.

Mechanic doesn’t know at this point. I went to the boat today it’s been sitting since last week and the middle area was flooded with water that looked like fuel as the water was discolored and some sludge! I turned on the bilge and drained it out..

Well the ski locker and the bilge are connected, so water can find its way from one to the other. It doesn’t take much fuel or oil to make the water look that way. It floats, so a very small amount mixed in with water will make it look pretty nasty. I’m assuming the boat is being left in the water. I’m not sure how common it is to take on that much water while the boat is sitting, as mine gets put back on the trailer at the end of the day. I have heard that they take on some though.

Yea but where did the oil/fuel come from?? So it’s normal?

Pretty normal to have some in the bilge. I suggest cleaning the entire bilge with Castrol SuperClean full strength then hose out. Dry it out then place paper towels under the engines and oil tank. You will see really quickly where any oil is dripping.
