This 240EFI was rebuilt a few years ago, but sat for the last 2 years unused, so as I'm getting to know the engine again, draining bad gas, oil pump driven gear removal, cleaning plugs, etc, and I noticed 2 wires not connected to anything. One is Blue/white and the other is brown/white. I've included a picture of these two wires.
I'm just worried they may be important because when I originally got my boat back from the shop, there were loose wire connections and half of the bleed system tubes were not connected and even the fittings for them missing. A few more overall sloppiness issues that made it look like a rushed job were noticed too. That's one reason I'm removing the oil pump driven gear because although he says the crank gear was replaced, I lost my confidence in him. Oh, he also broke the original throttle plate assembly and the replacement is from a standard 240 merc that doesn't have thrust assist steering. I had to rig up myself with some flat bar stock so it could be hooked up! Then theres the starter relay that's mounted with one hole because it's too narrow.
So can anyone identify these loose wires for me?
Thanks,
James
