When I purchased my boat a year ago the guy who had it did not take the greatest care of the top and now I see that there is a bit of mould on it. Any one recommend what a good cleaner to remove some or all of this. Would something like oxy clean do the job. Any info would be appreciated.

I guess no one has had this issue before. I will figure it out and if it can't be remedied i will buy a new one in the future.

Hw about some watered down bleach? Will ef kill the mold. Or maybe try color safe bleach as to not mess with the color of your top

White distilled vinegar can remove mold without hurting fabric. Spray it on and let it sit like an hour. Then wipe it off. If you remove the whole thing you could probably take it off and throw it in a washer.

When I bought my ski in2006 it had sat under trees for over a year. The inside "white fabric" of the cover was full of dirt and mold. I got some "OXI OUT" Algae & mold remover from ACO. $10.99 for a plastic jar, made by Oxibrands www.theo2system.com
I threw it into the washer on soak cycle for a couple hours then thru the wash cycle...it cam out almost brand new looking...used it until year when it tore in a few places.

I've also use this to clean my deck retractable awning. Mix it in a bucket and brush on, let it sit then hose off.

I was thinking about putting the whole thing in the washer too and my wife was like "no you can't do that." I inquired as to why but never got a good reason, she is gone for the day so I might just have a washer report to post later on today....

I got the following recipe for a DIY vinyl cleaner from a SeaDoo manual, aimed at addressing mildew on seats:

1 tbl Ammonia
1/4 cup Hydrogen Peroxide
3/4 cup water
