Hi. I recently had the bimini zipper repaired due to the abuse of un-zipping and zipping-up from the tower (Sportster 4-tech). I no longer zip it up. After getting the zipper repaired with a nice big nylon one, I keep the zipper in the zip-up for use mode, and when folding the top, i simply fold the material and then use a long bungee cord that is wrapped 2 to 3 times around the tower. I use a 3-4 foot yellow bungee with closed loop aluminum hooks and clip each end to the bimini tether hooks. Then i just loop the bungee cord around the tower holding from the middle about 2 times and pull it over the rope tow bar at the center. Easy, quick, and no more zipper issues!
