Hey this is as close as we can get to public thanks within our community. Racerxxx really helped me and my family out with our Challenger. Based off the fact that I pretty much sat there with a dumb luck and a credit card with a lot of limit then. Not so much now. We have a great running boat that screams coming out of the water.
We water tested it today and other than one or two issues with the boat it ran awesome.
So big thanks again and he is definitely one of the most knowledable guys that I have ever met on Seadoo's. I will be honest and tell you all that he knows more than the Seadoo dealers in this area.
Thanks again Racerxxx!

Ok, so here's the skinny. PSuter contacts me through the forum, Ha, I actually already knew him and he's a great guy and want his boat fixed up. Typical "It needs a starter", wrong. I ended up installing two new SBT 787, rebuilt the jet pumps, new Solas COncord 15/23 impellers(friggin' sweet BTW--Thanks Pale Rider), new OEM wear rings, OSDparts heavy duty carbon seal kit (friggin' sweet BTW), rebuilt the carbs, fuel lines, filters, clamps, and accelerator pumps, ground all 8 welch plugs on the pipes (7 out of 8 were wasted), New water control valves and the list kept growing. But in the end, it looks great and runs good. As PSuter mentioned we still have a few little details to iron out but it was great to get the beast out today, in the light rain/mist.

And to the pics!

Nice and well kept by the previous owner

Exhaust pipe repair, nice and packed with sand.

Look for the carb gasket......

The carb doesn't need a gasket all the way under it, right? That's how it was when I took it apart, just lovely.

You want fries with that shake? Yep, a full bottom end with water. Only needed a starter.

Now to the AWESOME PUMPS!!!!!!!!!!!

I swear the PO was mixing cement with this thing.

WTF is that??????? Yep, melted wear ring-- I kid you not!

This wasn't even on the side with the wear ring melt down, a little marine tex and were just like new again!

Nice heavy duty carbon seal set up, super nice parts.

Carb resto. The one that is packed with the crack rocks in the filter actually was from the one running engine. That filter was PACKED FULL. Of course they got cleaned, rebuilt, blasted and painted. Now they look cherry!

When I sort out more of the pics I'll try and post them up. All this work was done in a little more than a months time. This is done in my spare time and late nights. Seeing these guys happy to get their boat on the water today was awesome to say the least. We have a few small things to get working like the horn and the bilge to shut off and adjust the port throttle cable and we should be good to go.

Thanks again Patrick!

Thanks for the kind words!

Is this enough pics Andy?? Not quite as tidy as your Challenger but I didn't replace every last line either.

There are two houses up for grabs in my neighborhood, only downer is it's just over an hour to the river.

As usual an outstanding job. Sounds like you made some people very happy.

Dan, you have a special gift..............thanks for sharing that gift with all of us.
A big part of that gift is also your willingness to help and the satisfaction you get from it.

Thanks for the pics.

I'm basically doing the same thing for a customer now. 1800 Challenger, that started out as... "Helping out". And it turned into 2 engines, pumps, Install a second battery, Fix the fuel gauge, Fix the trailer, Etc.

My problem is... I'm getting too old to do boat engines. (lol) Hanging down, working on them kills my back, so I work a day... and can't touch it for 3 or 4 days after.

Very good job !!

Bravo Dan! awesome Job repowering the boat!

Great job Fella`s!

*except for me it would be my primary job, repairing boats, etc etc...;)

same here Tony, same here... but this year I removed the hatch, and it was much more comfortable this time around...

We had it on the river today and it literally jumps out of the water right onto plane! It is absolutely incredible. So awesome that I took my girlfriends daughter out of school early today to hit the river. What do kids need math for right?
My girlfriend Giedre (hence the boat name G-Spot) met us at the river after work and had a great time cruising and swimming. Still the water was a little cold but the boat performed flawlessly!
The only downside is that my daughter was with her mother and is pissed that she didn't get to go. The girls have off from school tomorrow so it looks like we will head down there again midafternoon!
Palerider you and Dan should open a shop!!!
I could help with the marketing. And Federal Funding since I am a Disabled Vet it would work great!

Awesome, glad you have a great time! these boats are fun... Mostly I just cruise with the misses and Shiba`s on board... stop at a favored location and let Nikko swim and hang out for lunch...
haha I would love to have shop that`s just a couple of guys, keeping it simple and busy... plus I`m diversified from construction, construction management, automotive repair, Performance work, truck lifts, tractors, and grounds/farm equip. besides boats and ski`s. I`d like to be in an environment that we can choose our own work and do quality work.

ahhh but then I woke up... sigh...

have fun and enjoy the boat!

Dan, thank you for searching for and finding my pump support on eBay.
I wish either you were in my area of Florida or I was in PA.

Wow, that's gorgeous work. I might be flying you down to GA. My shop had mine 2 years and it looks worse than when I took it in. And runs about as well. :(

Thanks man, this is pretty much the only way I can work. It has to be clean, clean, clean. I couldn't imagine if I had 2 years to work on a boat. If the winter gets long I might look to travel, LOL.

Seriously keep me in mind. Mild weather here in GA. [emoji2]

Any suggestions on a rough to no idle and won't rev at all?
