You just confirmed my next purchase.
I was b/w the black tip and HT b/c I like the molded diamond pattern but I didn't want big HT logo on the footwells.

Looks good.

Going through cleaning 15 year old grim off yellow steering pad with lighter fluid and a box cutter blade. Came out surprisingly well.

We're twins
I like the black HT on the other XP.
But I need two sets so the black tip makes more sense. We'll see :roll eyes:

Great job guys! I'm looking for my next years boat project! Hope to find someone that needs some cash and doesn't need a boat so bad....

How do you ride it with THAT on the seat? Seems like a very lumpy upholstery job to me. :banghead:

I've posted these before, but I figured what the hey. I bought this ski in Sept. this year it's a 96GSX, the guy couldn't keep it running, he had the carbs. overhauled at the dealer, new wear ring. It looked really bad, the finish was dull, a few parts missing. He was asking $1200.00, I bought it for $800.00. It only had 107hrs. and great compression, turned out all it needed was a $20.00 fuel selector valve, and a few parts that I bought from minnetonka4me. I painted the gauge cover and handle bar cover, yellow because I couldn't find paint to match the blue indigo. It cleaned up really well. Here's a few pictures.

I have the upholstery out of her right now so no pix yet. Need to do a few more things before the after pix are snapped. HT is done and a few other things. Boat will be for sale in the spring. Just got into this for a project... now I think I'm hooked. I like this older speedster but it corners too flat for me. Pretty fast though.

Sdb.Who gives a hooot.They look pretty good:)
It's a bit of a toss between Jake or Lou's seat cover.(toss of a coin)
God! They both look like really nice girls.it's a draw.

I think they are aftermarket not OEM

Crisso - I was just replying to Jake's mentioning that they are aftermarket not OEM.

griz - a good idea for a thread but I think most Northerners have their ski put away already and didn't take any pics of their projects.
