Battery Tender

Is it safe to stick the battery tender inside the hull when parked outside so just an extension cord is exposed to the weather or is this a bad idea since there are some gas and oil fumes in there?

It should be perfectly fine. It’s still a good practice to disconnect the battery from the ski to protect the expensive MPEM, just the negative cable is enough.
