Battery question?

What type of battery do I need for a 96 GSX, and what is the best brand out their?

I recommend a AGM (Advanced Glass Matt) Battery. It is better than a Gel Cell and it won't crack and cause problems when it get hot, like the Gel Cell. That's the one but check with your local Auto Zone store to see if it is cheaper. I only quoted the suggested retail price. Your local store might be cheaper and no shipping. They usually have them in stock to take home with you.

One more quick question should I or can I run a battery tender on this type of battery?

The only thing different is the battery is a glass matt battery. It will hold up better then a gel.You treat it just like any other battery.
