I'm having a problem with my 99 Seadoo XP limited ( 951 engine) battery not charging after using it a while. I put in a new one, but still doing the same thing.
When I check the voltage at the battery with the engine running, I get a reading of 12.5 volts. Is that normal or is it too low to recharge the battery??

I want to check my alternator/regulator but don't know where it's located. Any help would be greatly appreciated

yeah, thats low. With it runn'n around 5500rpm, should get reading of high 13v-14.5v, so with that low, the rectifier/regulator aint doing its job. The problem now, is the rectifier is "built" into the mpem, in which, you'll need to replace the mppem...bummer.

Thanks for your help. It is a bummer. Quess I'll have to keep recharging the battery, and limit my fun time for now
