Battery connections

Long after I had gotten my Utopia 185 with Optimax 200 engine back from the dealer (now out of business) I noticed that two small wires were not connected to the battery. One is green and appears to head off to port under the rear seat. The other is black with a protective corrugated wire loom around it and is bundled with other wires down in the bilge. Can anybody tell me what they're for and what posts to connect them to? Thanks.

Here's a pic of the cables next to the neg pole of the battery: top is main neg cable, middle is unknown small black cable, bottom is unknown green cable. ABYC color code says black is negative and green is bonding cable so I'm assuming two unknowns should be attached to neg battery post. Would appreciate having this confirmed by someone who knows what they're talking about.Cables1.jpg

That green is not a factory wire. My Hope would be a ground. But you need to trace it to see where it is going and what leg it is.

Thanks. Will try to track it down. Is it safe to assume the small black wire can be attached to the neg battery post?

Yes,, some skis have the small black and some do not. Normally the newer it is the odds it will not be there.

Here's a pic of the other end of the green cable. Attaches to the fuel filler inlet. I assume it's a static ground and therefore the other end should be attached to the battery negative pole. Would you agree?
Thanks.

I would say yes. But I still don't think it is a factory item. After the fact "safety" item maybe ???

Thanks. I see what you mean about non-factory. There's no heat shrink on the lug like the black factory cables have. But the connections are neatly done, and it does look like there's a built-in terminal on the filler inlet designed for this type of wire. Maybe this is a shop replacement for the original. My main concern is that it's OK to connect it to the neg battery pole.

I am guessing it is to ground the filler to eliminate the potential of a "static" spark.

Soooo, If it were mine, I would ground it.
