Lets say my one year old battery barely starts(from sitting for a month) my rxp 2007 -- how long at 4500 rpms or so would it take to bring it back up to full charge

any thoughts or stats?

It should come back in about 1 hr of use. In the future I would disconnect the battery so as not to have it loose power. If you do decide to charge it disconnect the battery from the seadoo so as not to surge the electrical system from the charger.

Your lucky to be using it beyond 1 year. Most are replaced each year. The only way to keep it living longer is to religiously put it on a trickle charger after each use. You should put a cut off switch in the ground wire to simplify this process rather than having to disconect the battery each time. you can get these at an auto supply shop.

Load test....

:agree: With him. Most batteries only last a year or so, unless you get one of those super expensive ones that guarantee that they'll last longer.

I'd remove the battery and take it to your local Autozone or Advanced Auto Supply and have it load tested. It's free and worth the effort rather than rely on a battery that could leave you stranded later.........

Buy a Battery tender, it will charge and maintain your battery while the ski is sitting, the battery in my Polaris is the original from 2001, not sure if it's the use of the tender or I'm just lucky, before I start riding again I am going to replace it just in case, Batterymart.com has water proof ones for $35.00
