Bad Stator?

My ski has a fresh top end and carbs, after changing my rectifier the ski wont start up anymore, its cranks good their is fuel, compression, i think I'm missing spark, all my grounds and connections are good, can this be a bad stator?

What kind of rectifier did you use? The aftermarket ones are not reliable.

i bought it off ebay, could that be why it wont start?

I was chasing a no charge situation on my 97 GTI. Cleaned and checked all connections in the ignition box and then I got a rectifier from the other major site, would not start. I put the old rectifier back on and it started right up.

My charging issue was a broken pin on the connector from stator to harness.

Put the original rectifier back on and clean and check all connections and grounds.

the problem is i threw my old rectifier away. so gonna look for an oem one.
