Anyone take delivery yet?

Hi Guys.

Well........... In one of the Vid's... I remember the BRP rep saying "They are already in production, and you will see them at the dealers toward the end of October".

If that was true... has anyone taken deliver of a Spark yet?

Kevin Wassum has his...it was out with us last weekend. Got the basic 60hp in pink.

Nope, We ordered 1 the week they announced them. I have not even had an update yet. We were the first customers to order one, a few of the employees were getting them too.

few aussies have theres and some reports have been they have had them for the past week, we are getting radio advertisement saying there available now

Well, guess what the dealer did not have our spark. He had a white 3 seater show up. He now says they will take delivery until sometime in In early 2014.

there is a 2 up and a 3 up at barneys in brandon ... looking at em in person, there isnt much storage ... but i believe you can sorta strap some stuff on, get to where you are goin, and then ride and have a good time .... i think it was 6200.00 for the 3 up, but they were way to busy to really talk to anyone about em, i will wait on an upcoming seadoo ride like they have every year

Remember you are down under...we've had the Demo rides all summer long though out the USA....except they skipped the lower Michigan area this year for some reason. I've gone on 2 of them the last 2 yrs.

The rest of the world got them early as heck b/c it still needed to pass some coast guard tests.

And as you know Mr. Spark, just had to be in the right place at the right time.

I called and got my deposit back last week. I was told originally we would get it at the end of Oct. Now being almost the middle of March and still no spark it was time to go somewhere else. The dealer did not want to give me the deposit back but my bank was quick to get it back for me. I called another local dealer and they have the exact color, model and it is a couple hundred cheaper. At this point I want to test ride before I buy.

I went to my local dealer who has 3 in stock. After checking them out in person, I'm not... won over.
I was expecting just a bit more. I'd even pay for just a bit more. (Actually, I'd pay much more for a ski I wanted).

I'm sticking w/my 951 skis for now.

So what did you not like about it?

the look/feel, in person, just felt 'cheap'... I knew it was plastic going into it, but even the plastic trim, the handlebar pad, everything just looked and felt cheap. After years observing car interiors the same thing applies. Moving over to the $12k skis, the plastics all over were just.. better.. the seats bigger, thicker...

the concept is great, they just need to make a $10k one with 130HP and just a little bit nicer.

it was never the price tag of a new ski that kept me out of the dealer... it was the 800 lb boat these ski's have become.

a 2002 XP was $7200 new in 2002. What's that in today's $?

$9400

so yea, for $10k, I'd get a plastic ski, but BETTER plastics... BETTER rubber, BETTER seats...

I may not be their target demo, but I'm not sold on them...

I'm hoping they improve them over the next few years though... say fix this part, a little better plastic here...

it just came SO CLOSE... it was a disappointment, it felt like it needed another $200-400/ski invested to push it to where I'd be curious.

Thanks for the reply SabrToothSqrl. Hopefully I will not be disappointed.
