Anyone modify 08 230 wake tower to fold???

I am thinking about cutting the back support strut on the tower and then alluminum weld in another
hinge to make the tower fold up (just like the x-20 sea doo towers do) so that tower will lay down
and possibly fit in my garage. Anyone done something like this? Not sure why sea doo decided to not make the
tower fold!!!!

I would just remove it entirely rather than cut it. My $0.02 ...

I don't have a tower, but as long as you get a quality welding shop w/ experience withe towers & T tops to do the work I would think this would be an easy mod. Just make sure the bracing/hinge is adequate for the load excerted on the tower when it is in use skiing/ tubing, etc.
