I am selling a 2001 Yamaha XLT 1200 for my mother. She has had this machine for 3 years and has barely used it. It mostly sat on a lift for all of the summer. For some reason she thought she would use it and she didn't ( Shes over 70 years old) She took it out of storage this year and had trouble getting it started so now she wants to sell it. She is giving me that responsibility. It's in decent shape with general wear and tear from a 9 year old machine. The engine compartment looks real clean and the battery seems to hold a good charge. The machine turns over but I havn't gotten it to start. I havn't given much time to it but I'm sure I will get it to fire up. I plan on working on it over the next couple of days but figure to get it on craigslist the sooner the better. According to KBB Retail is 3555 and trade in is 2425. Price is negotiable. No trailer just the machine. There is a cover but of unknown condition. The best thing to do is to come out and look at it. I do not have much interest in these vehicles. I can be reached at 262 237 1018. I will post pictures ASAP. Thanks for looking
This machine is a 2 stoke 3 cylinder 1200cc 155 hp.
This is an update:
I had a chance to look at the machine today and after turning on the gas if started right up and seemed to run fine. I am hesitant to run it out of the water. It has 100.6 hours on it. I do not know if this is alot or not. Maybe someone can tell me. I washed it and there is a fair share of nicks and scratches but no cracks or holes. The reverse is broken. The reverse handle does not pull up and I did not fell like forcing it. (probably needs a new cable or linkage) It is missing a cover for a compartment that is under the steering wheel. You should be able to see it in one of the pics. The cover seems in good shape with no holes or rips but it is dirty and faded from use. I am pretty firm on the price of 2200 since it starts and runs fine and I am getting alot of interest on it. (4 phone calls and 3 emails) I think this is still a screaming deal for someone. 262 237 1018 Greg I have a few other pics that I can't seem to get to take on craigslist so email me if you want. There is no trailer and the machine next to it in the picture is not for sale Thanks for looking
