Anyone else think this carb needs a rebuild?

I bought another 95 Speedster. All paperwork and trailer included in the deal. $600. One motor is supposed to run, the other motor was removed, and new pistons were installed. They never put the motor back into the boat. Rainwater collected in the engine compartment. Anyone else think these carbs need a rebuild?

Yes, they need rebuilding at a minimum. Carburetor issues are often a root cause for the engine failure b/c lack of fuel leads to detonation and detonation eats 2-stroke pistons (especially marine engines).

I would be surprised if these carbs ever make it back into service. They would have to be completely stripped and cleaned and rebuilt. They are in the spare boat, so they will likely become donor parts.

Can anyone give me some links to good rebuild kits for the carbs?

How is the carburetor rebuilt? Same as a lawn mower or atv carb? Clean the bowl out, clean the jets, clear the ports?
