Any experience with Hardline HR-8061-2 Tachometer?

No but at that price it's worth a try. I have tried a few different cheaper versions but they don't last past the first rain the ski gets caught in. The TTO is good most the time for 30ish but I'd love to hear if these are decent for half the price.

One problem is the water intrusion but another is that a tuner needs a tach that updates quickly. The rpm your were turning 3 or 4 seconds ago is not the info your looking for when you glance at it. Those fake Tiny Tachs are bad about that.

I can't find the refresh rate on either unit, unfortunately.

I had a PET-2100 back in my GPR days but I sold it.

Just ordered it. Will let you know how it is. I watched some videos on YouTube and I couldn't tell much difference in the refresh rate between the TTO and this one.

So we both bought them and for as cheap as they are they seemed to work great today. I dropped mine in the water of my footwell completely submerged for a few seconds before I realized it was there. Hah! The real time rate isn't super fast, but does it fine enough. Also there's a way to view the max RPMs and it stores it until you clear it. Making it easier to watch where you're going while tuning. Used it to tune my hard jet today and it worked great.

My ski has never accelerated so well and hits pretty good if you hammer on it.

Definitely worth it for $14. Not in the same class as my PET tach was obviously for refresh, but for tuning idle and max RPM is works perfect. I'd say there is about a 2 second delay in refresh.
