Antenna?

Anyone mounted an antenna in their Sportster? Putting in the radio this weekend and would like to add antenna. Was thinking of just mounting a small flexible one near the battery in the hull. Other option is drill hole and have it stick out somewhere and remove it when putting cover on. Any thoughts / ideas?

Are you having reception issues with the small wire they use?

I used a cheap rubber one from auto store and just zip tied it in where the radio is. Works awesome and not seen

I bought a flexible rubber one and drilled a 1/2'' hole and mounted on outer side. The area we go camping has poor reception so this should help. The radio I bought had no antenna and I have not yet tried it. Figured I would mount the antenna now as opposed to removing the radio again later to install it. Will finish the install this weekend.

I boat in the middle of nowhere and there is not much radio selection. ipod is the way to go.
