And another one drives away...

Last week I sold my prized 1997 GTi. I know it's not much of a ski, but it was in mint shape with minor tweaks, and was really my first Sea-Doo love. Tonight my 1996 GTi drove away with its new owner, wasn't terribly sad to see it go, but that ski surprised me in many ways. Under the dirt and scratches, it actually was a good ski that needed a little TLC.

The question is: do you get a little sad when you sell a ski? Or rejoice after it leaves?

If it means any thing I feel the same way, I know I shouldn't get attached to things but I do, after working on these things and especially riding them they almost feel like their a part of you. It's almost like a woman treat em right and they'll love you forever.

I have a 96GTI it's been a great ski, so reliable, I hardly ever need to work on it. And the thing I like best about the GTI, while it's not the fastest or the most nimble doesn't jump wake very well, at the end of the day it's a pleasure to ride, it goes where you point it, it doesn't fight you. I don't know exactly how to put this but it just feels right when you're headed for home after a long day on the lake.

i have never had multiple skis as one time.. but when i traded my SPX last year... i kicked my self for days... MONTHS!! afterwards.

Im with you. I felt the same way when I sold my two GTI a few months ago.

But now I have 2 new to me 4 strokes.

Shawn,

Was this thread supposed to make you feel better about selling your ski? I guess it didn't work!

I guess I'm the oddball here.

I'd say... 99% of the time... it doesn't bother me at all. I turn my toys over so often... it's not a big deal. Generally... selling one toy, means I'm making room for a new one.
