Aftermarket Ideas

98 octane kind of defeats the purpose here. Mild boost turbo on 92 would be clutch. At 400lbs, 150hp would be like an X ski with well over 300! At least in terms of power to weight.

I heard a Volvo Penta engine for the Spark is around the corner....a 4.3 L application. It comes with a couple of whip antennas, a marine radio, cup holders and a tow hook for barges. For gosh sakes, does everything need to be a horsepower orgasm? It's a $5,000 to $7,000 Sea-Doo. Get real. It's a SEA-DOO....not a drag racer. Regular fuel, regular engine. Good enough.

:lol:Says the guy who spent $14,000 for a wake with a supercharger with intercooler to produce the hp to pull tubers

That's 98oct here at Australia which is more like 95 oct at USA ....

Sorry... I didn't even look to see what part of the world you are in.

98 fuel down in Oz... is just std "Premium" fuel here is the USA. So... it's about 91.

Yeah we pay the premium for crap here ... $1.70 per litre for our version of 98 oct ...

Cost me $100 just to use my RXTX 260 for 3 hrs ...

Zero desire for the ibr. I've used them.. meh! Really not a selling point for me. Been riding skis for over 20 years without it.. I'd rather that lever be a trim system. Just my preference.

I have lever trim on my current ski, actually its quite an expensive option, like $400 right now, but honestly, I'd trade it for IBR in a heart beat just for the convenience factor. Its not that I don't love lever trim, I use it more when hitting sharp turns and when hitting chop and start the porpoise, so its great, , its just that I would be thrilled to have button trim AND IBR at the same time.

needing to run 98 would be a deal breaker for me, I'm used to paying $4 gal for 93, but 98 would be WAY to much of an inconvenience, definitely a deal breaker.

My Lexus was at half tank and both my RXT and GTX were at half tank. 93 octane in them all and I paid 83 dollars.

Pretty big price difference and I wasn't happy paying what I paid.

Guess I shouldn't complain.

That's nothing.....

Last time I took the boat out.... the truck also needed fuel. So... the tab came out to be over $200 !!! They weren't totally empty... but the boat holds 55 gal, and the truck holds 28 gal. (it's $80 every time I fill the truck)

lol, its amazing what you get used to isn't it ?

I think the last ride I did with Nam, I had to top off two ski's, plus 10 gallons of extra, and it was $84 :)

not including the $47 to top off the truck with 87 octane !

When I went on my 4th of july trip everything was on E. The truck is a deisel with a 36 gallon tank. At that time it was about $4 a gallon for deisel so the truck alone was $154. Then 18 gallons of premium at $4 for the 2 x4's, another $72 and when we got to the lake the boat needed to be topped off. We all know when buying these toys it is only going to get more expensive down the road with gas and oil going up. It is a price I am willing to pay.

Good times huh?

Worx has already announced they are working on Sponsons and intake grates. They are in Aussie land so Im sure they already have one in the shop.

Also...just to post what I did in the other thread...if you plan on buying ECU mods (Im sure they will be available) you HAVE to buy the 90hp model if you want the LCD to work. They linked the LCD to the ECU and it will not work otherwise.

Yamaha's GP hull came with adjustable sponsons but anyone who wanted to really throw G's purchased aftermarket.

Why so sure of the ride plate needing attention?
