adjusting the rave valves?

hey all, 1996 XP 800
Been reading more and more on here about the rave valves. Notices mine are screwed all the way down. what do i need to screw them level? and do i need to adjust ANYTHING else or just screwing them level ok? trying to get a pinch more out of top end. thanks

use needle nose pliers, and turn counterclockwise.

It won't increase your top end, it will just change when the valves open in the mid-range.
