I would like to add VTS to my 2000 speedster, just wondering if anybody has had any experience with adding trim to a jet boat. Also, this is powered by a mercury, so that may complicate things a bit.

not VTS. the trim won't clear the reverse gate. you could MAYBE put a VTS-style nozzle on it with the trim upside ring mounted upside-down and fabricate some kind of turnbuckle-style adjuster to set the trim. it would be an HX style crank-it-and-see-and-crank-it-some-more style setup.

trim

Put power trim on my 2000 challenger 1800. works well and gets rid of the annoying bounce at speed. However if you like to do spins , they do make the back end spin out easier. Not near as much fun and doe's not feel as safe. I am thinking of taking them off.
