I know the intake oil/fuel mixture enters through the block to lube the moving parts , why bother with twin carbs?

Are there different carbs available , History shows that carbs will change year to year even if the motor does not , is one better than the others

How beefy are these engines , can they handle some boost 1 or 2 lbs

What size is the factory prop

Any one put a trowling motor on one

The worst day fishing is better than the best day working

Hmm...that sounds like a contradiction...extra boost with a trolling motor.

Just to be able to troll into the and out of the Shallows.

The thing that people do not realize is that these jet drives can suck up trash due to the drive being in nutrel or reverse that srirs up the water churning the bottom . and If I am not mistaken , you cannot start in forward .

actually i think they can suck up trash in any direction. it always pulls water in the same hole.

True enough but while moving forward slowly it will only suck from the bottom if the grate is within about 6-inches . While in reverse the jet wash is being directed forward and down . This churns the bottom up and while in neutral it churns and hovers right above where it is churning . Hence the churning effect lifts bottom trash from deeper water . In forward the intake is always forward of where the churning takes place . So Clearer water in the intake .

Now since the boat does not exhibit perfect laminar flow . , while going fast in forward the down bow wave , also part of the wake , also churns up the bottom allowing the grate to come along and scoop it up .

The best action is to avoid shallow water , but when you cannot , Idle forward

I might get a underwater Cameras and take video of what happens to the bottom in forward , neutral , and reverse , and post on youtube .

I have the camera now . Just need to have the boat running first.

By the way I want to be a little more specific . I am thinking about a electric trolling motor on the bow .

Uh... were talking about a jet boat...they're made to go fast and jump waves. It's not really important what the jet does when in shallow water... pass over it to deeper, water and go have fun.
