Hi All,
Yesterday was suposed to be a cloudy, rainy day... but DSW222 talked me into meeting with him on the south side of Pitt to help him break-in his new engine. His boat has been down since this time last year. But, with his busy life... he decided to send it to a local shop so he could "Get on the water quick" this year. Well... they had the boat for a few months... and he just got it back on Friday.
We hooked up around 11 am on Sat... and it even started raining on us... but we decided to push on.
We rode around for a while, and tied up to grab some lunch at The Red Fin Blues, on the Allegheny River... and by the time we were done... the weather broke... and it turned into a beautiful day.
While we were out... we saw a boat being put into the water from a Marina that was up on a hill. (hope they didn't drop it) And we saw a bunch of the "Ducks" out around the point, giving Pittsburgh tours. (They are converted amphibious military trucks)
Just thought I would share some pics.
Oh... sorry, but I was riding my Polaris. The Pitt rivers can get huge swells in them, and my little XP would be a lot of work to just put some miles on. The Big Genesis (4 passenger) can take the waves as well as any small boat.
