99 xp water coming in while docked

just bought seadoo water gets in while sitting in the water.so i took it out of the water and put water in the hull and it leaks out through a small tube-hole on the back of ski by the steering link,it is about the size of a pencil.can anybody help..

uh...if it's a hole can it be patched? if it's cracked near the steering it should be able to be patched or caulked.

its not crack,or a hole its made in the back of the ski

does it come through the fiberglass or the plastic housing in the back? Look for a hose that is disconnected.

should be a clear hose/ hose that connects from the starboard side lower of your engine to it, I do not know if the xp exhaust is run like on my gtx but if so then it will be hard to see....reach along the starboard side cylinder side of your motor and near the bottom middle of the motor you will find 1 of 2 things either a hose laying in the hull or just a fitting on the side of the motor. You might get a quick easy fix where the hose just fell off the fitting on the exit and can see it laying in the hull and just reconnect it.

good thing to check and make sure it is not leaking and distroying your vts system, however has not relation to the hose in question, still look for that hose to engine connection.

checked and hose was laying in bottom of hull,thanks for the heads up on the easy fix. thought i would have to take it to a dealer

no problem, thats what we are all here to help each other out, I have my 951 ripped apart in the garage so it is easy for me to go out and look. Glad you got it fixed easy. Now get back on the water and have fun...make sure you do not have any other leaks....
