There's a 2 1/2 inch ish hose that comes off the muffler that is a couple feet long and a metal cap inside the end with a hose clamp. The cap has rusted a hole through and is blowing a little water into the boat. Can I take the cap out and replace with something else? Remove the hide entirely and cap the muffler? Help please. :-)

Thank you,

Chris

I assume you're talking about #43 is leaking. I'd probably just find an alternative, I don't think they're available any more, but you could try.

Yes number 43 on the end cap plug. Anything to seal it will be fine? Like a PVC cap? Or does it need to be metal? Or can I cap the whole thing off at the muffler? Thank you so much for your help.

If it's an aluminum tube I would just have a new cap welded on and be done with it. If it's plastic, I would find a suitable PVC and go with that. Having a new cap welded on shouldn't be expensive and they should be able fabricate you a new cap.

It's a rubber hose w a metal cap on the end held in with a hose clamp I believe. I'll just plug it with what I can find that fits I guess lol.
