99 GTX Limited no compression in 1 cylinder

Was riding great for 2 hours. Slammed pretty hard on a wave, engine got real loud then turned off. Fired back up right after (loud and shaking) no power, then wouldn’t fire up again. Pulled plugs, water shout out one cylinder no compression out of the other one.

Is there a question? My answer is you broke a rod and grenaded the engine.

Sorry to hear about your ski. I read about things like this happening and it seems strange to me. Is it the high speed loading and unloading of the drive train that does the damage??

Yes, especially on a high hour 951 crank.

Very high rpm when the pump comes unhooked then full load.
