99 gti ran oil out

son ran oil out of 99 gti still cranks over but wont stay runnin, starter seems to crank and stop, changed plugs but no change what next?

back at it elk season in way checked compression front is just shy of 120 psi
rear cyl is 60 psi what next guys

Sounds like rebuild time to me. Compression specs are way off each other.

Hey Dooh. Your gonna have to rebuild the topend. If it was mine, I would replace the entire engine with a re manufactured one. You really don't know what other damage has been done to the engine with what it went through with out oil.
Compared to the price and hassle of rebuilding you could spend a few hundred more and buy the entire engine and swap them out. Try www.sbtontheweb.com
