You have to join as a premium member to have the manual library available.
Click on the link at the top to see the details. under "Seadoo Manuals" I view it on line as a pdf file, and print off what I need so it won't get my laptop all grease. If you charge you battery take it out of the doo so it can charge it properly . DON"T charge it connected to the cables in the doo, it could spike the MPEM (Multi Purpose Electronic Module) or other electronics and cause major expensive problems. If you sign up as a premium member you could see all the tests first hand, and give us a shout if you get in a jam. Let us know if we can help anymore.

You could check out one or the venders on the side of the main page and see what the price is ...I would be guessing about..$75.00...It's just a guess.

soleniod

i went ahead and tested my solenoid, i saw in another post that if the engine turns over the solenoid is bad, and if it doesn't then the starter might be bad. now when you say "turns over" does that mean start up?
viewing other post also has me thinking that my rectifier is bad because my battery doesnt keep a charge.
like always thanks for your help

Rectifier?

Your rectifier will run you about $152 bucks..........to see if your in need of a new one. Take a multi tester and check your battery for voltage. You should have about 12 vdc....then start your motor up. Check the voltage now. If the rectifier is working good, then you should be getting somewhere close to 14 vdc............don't buy something you don't need.
After the test, let me or Karl know and we'll try and help you go from there!

:agree: Thanks for the imput on the price of the rectifier Louis. I couldn't open any sites that sold them earlier, and I hate to guess, cause I could be wrong, and this time I was way off.

i will do that test tomorrow so do you think that might have something to do with it not starting as well in water, and as i stated earlier it runs fine once started.
thanks agian for you help

ok i checked the volts on the battery 12, then i started and it didn't move up any stayed and 12. where do i go from here is this a serious problem, and also is this the only reason my battery wont stay charged???

thanks like always

The Voltage should be higher if the seadoo is running at the battery. It could be the retifiyer is bad as it won't allow the seadoo to charge the battery. Give it another check, but it looks like it is bad.

rectifier....

Yes, this is why your losing your power. Your rectifier is shot. Check all your fuses first. With a full charge, the battery will run your engine till the amps drop low enough to shut your engine down. Check the plug on the front of your magneto and make sure your getting good contact.
THere are a few other checks you can make to make certain your rectifier is bad. But for all intent and purposes, yes, iti's shot.

thanks for the quick reply, all fuses good. where online would be the cheapest to get a new one??it also looks fairly easy to change is there any tricks to it??
thanks like always

just follow the plugs and unplug it. Replace it with the new one. You could try one of the companies in the forum on the link page. Than compare to your local seadoo dealer.

i replaned my solenoid, i looked in the manual but cant uderstand the wiring diagrams. with the solenoid in place in the rear electrcial box which wires go to the top terminal and which wires got the the bottom terminal?
thanks for your help

both wires, i think the one from the battery goes on the bottom and the one going to the starter goes on the top. where does the smaller ones go?
thanks for your help

I looked at the wire diagram for your 99GSX and it appears that on the Top the Red wire on RIGHT goes to the starter. The RED wire on the LEFT goes to the battery. On the 6 plug harness is 2 wires that go to the solenoid. 1 wire Red/ Purple goes to a 15 amp fuse and connects to the TOP Left connector/ with the Red wire to the battery. The other wire Yellow/ Red goes into a double plug an into the bottom in the solenoid. The Black wire from ground and the 6 way plug ground goes in the same double-plug and connects to the solenoid.
I hope you can understand the connection and this solves your problem. If you want more info look at the wire diagram on page 477 of the manual.
Let us know how you make out.
