The issue is getting to the carbs. This thing has ran like a champ all year, now today in the water when I get to about 30 it bogs down then when fuel gets built back into the system it will go like no problems until it burns the fuel build into the system. If I go about 1/2 throttle there is not a problem, when I nail it it will go great for about 2 secs then bogs down again. I am sure it is either the selector, lines Carbs ect. I have checked and found a great post on carb rebuilds but can not get the pictures to open. Also, everyone talks about just pulling the carbs and rebuilding them. Does the entire exhaust on top of the motor need to come off? Any pictures out there of a 98 XP Limited being taken apart? thanks

You do naot have to remove the exhaust pipe, to access the carbs. Remove the airlid assy to see the carbs and its bolts. From there its a matter of "feel" to remove the bolts and the throttle/oil cables off the carbs. Remove the 2-screws off the throttle/oil cable plate, so you do not mess up the "settings" of the cables.
