98 Sportster OEM cover fit issues

I just had my OEM cover fixed up but now that I got it on it seems like maybe the cover was meant to go on without the bimini top attached to the boat, does anybody know if the bimini was an add on for this boat or if it came OEM and if it did come OEM is the cover supposed to go on with the bimini top attached or should the bimini be taken off for trailering with the OEM cover?

I am posting a pic so you can see my issue.




The cover absolutely will not no matter how much I force it go around the back of the boat bumper which I am assuming its supposed to do, and then cinch up to tighten around the back.

the covers for the 14.5' boats are meant to go on without the top.

I should have stated this is the sportster 1800 18' boat, but if the 14.5 was supposed to go on without it, maybe the same is true for the 18'.
