98 sea doo gs newbie question starting issue

I just bought it, and tried startingwith no luck. Battery was dead. I then charged it
up with the battery still connected to the jet ski. I was able to
first start it up with my charging system and then let it sit
over night next mornning i give it a qick test from just the
battery and it started up just fine. I now took it off charge.
I went to work and came home and tried to fire it up.
Now its dead. I put the charger on it and nothing.
I do get the beep after putting on the key. I then go to the
start button and nothing. I have to say that my start button
does not go down one bit. Im thinking it could be the button?
and My charger that I have does allow me to start it up with a dead battery.
Help please

Never charge them, while connected to the Doo. You will overvolt it, and mess up the 'lectrical system.

I am sorry. You will probably have to REpair or replace the MPEM system.
