I'm redoing the hose to this unit and I don't see anywhere on the forums about any servicing for this. Since the ski has set for 9 years anything I should do to this or replace internally, any checks I can do to verify it is functioning? pic of unit on left side.

As a side note, what is its purpose?

Check the bellows in it for a hole. I am getting ready to rebuild 2 of them new gaskets orings bellows etc .

Thanks POPPS.
All I knew was you told me to rebuild mine.

And of course it is no longer available from BRP. @ 30$

Well,,if the bellow has no hole in it,,,(which I repair with RTV black silicone),,if the large clamp is toast,,,I have used mechanic wire,,I usually put a small bead of RTV on the lower part of the bellow,,I have never ordered a kit,,when its cured,,,just thread it back in,,connect the 2 lines,,,start it up,,and run water thru the motor to see if is still leaking,,if yes,,,which has happened to me,,,repeat the process but be more thorough.

I took it apart and i have a small hole in the bellow. Is it ok to add a drop of rtv or is it better to replace?

anyone know the size of the clamp, mine is rusted, might as well replace since i have it apart? item number 23 in pic above.

POPPS,

Said he has sealed hole before with black RTV. I was hoping you could give me the width and min and max ID on the clamp #16 and 23 ID.

Amazon has #23 for 11$

using a micrometer I got 2 1/4 " for the big clamp (#16), the ID for #23 i got by measuring the plastic piece and it was 1' +- 1/16

Does anyone know if there is anything attached to the single outlet, opposite the double inlet/outlets on the regulator, it has threads but nothing was on mine.

Thanks if you still have it off get me the width of the band for #16 please.

There is nothing attached to the single outlet on my 98 or 99. I would venture to say it may be some kind of breather port for the water pressure regulator.

Is 1/8 the thickness or width? 1/8 does not seem very wide to drill and tap for the screw in that clamp.

You can use a thin ziptie to clamp the bellows. Snip the ziptie's tail short and smooth the tip, to keep it from poking a hole in the bellows.

RTV works well for sealing holes in bellows. Clean rubber well and let it the silicone cure for a few days, before use.

The threaded stub "outlet" opposite the hose nipples should be closed off (at least it is, on the jetboat 787
motor).
