Bought this sled last year, very nice machine. Has been a good buy. Did have to replace the fuel baffle about a month ago, other than that a very good machine.

Its had this "rattle" at low idle or neutral and goes away when under load/throttled. Has anyone heard of this? This "rattle" has been there since I bought.....might be a little louder this season.

Help?

Thanks,
Dave

Some possible sources of rattling:

- Pump bearing

- PTO coupler is dying (photo below if from an HX, but it is similar in construction to all Seadoos).

-Shaft Bearing failing (usually from not being greased regularly at the zerk fitting)

-Wear ring damaged. If a chunk of wear ring is lifted up, the impeller will "ting" against it until it beats it down.

- Bent drive shaft. If you are already tearing the pump body off, pull the shaft and roll it on a flat surface to see if it is bent.

- tools stuck under the engine in the hull. Hey it happens.:ack:
