98 GTS Not Charging

Hello,

I have the above mentioned ski and it is not charging. At 5000 RPM the voltage is roughly 12 at the battery. The manual says to use a special harness to check the regulator and magneto to see what is up. What is the best thing to do from here? I have not seen a thread where anybody else has used this harness to perform the checks. Fuse was checked and is good.

The harness just makes it easier to test the stator with a multi-meter. You can probe the pins in the connector.
