98 GTS cuts out/dies when increasing speed!?!

Great site! My 98 GTS cuts out or dies when I reach certian speed? Starts great, runs good till I have throttle about 1/3 open then dies. Cleaned fuel filter at tank, made sure air filter clean, and siphoned old gas out and refilled with clean. Any other suggestions before I take it to dealer and am made to feel like total girl? Thanks!

Mine was doing that and it turned out to be the fuel on/off/res valve. You can bypass the on/off/res valve to test.

Rebuilt the carbs and changed the gray lines on mine, runs like a champ now.

I had similar problem on my 95 xp. I changed the fuel lines to the black, cleaned the carbs and bypassed the fuel selector switch, turned out to be the fuel baffle was sucking air. replaced it and it runs great now.
