Anyone know what would cause an overabundance of oil to be injected into one cylinder? My SPX has been setting a few years due to a surging power issue. I have decided to dig into it and tried to start her up recently. Motor would not turn over (new battery, plugs and gas BTW) pulled the plugs and motor turned over fine. Found the back cylinder is blowing massive amounts of oil out and is causing hydro lock when trying to start. Motor will turn over with front plug installed.

Thanks

it isn't the oil injection. it is the center crank seal. it has had years to seep oil into crankcase. blow it out-fire it up-let it smoke for a half hour or so.

Thanks,

It must have been sitting at an angle and seeped to the back cylinder

Do you think that the seal needs to be replaced...eventually?
