97 XP shutting off

Quick help here. I am on my last fuel line to change and I notice a connection where a hose could be attached outside the hull under the seat. Is there suppose to be a hose there or is that for testing the fuel pressure. Thanks.

I changed the last cable but not sure what that connection is for. It goes from the baffle to that connection then to the side of the hull.
 
qstorm, I think you did the right thing to change that last fuel hose - but more for completeness than actual need. ;)

To answer your question, that line runs from the fuel baffle to the hull - it is a vent line. There is a check valve there that lets air pressure from the tank go out through the hose that goes to the hull. The check valve prevents water from going in the hose.

Great photos by the way - I'd like to link to them on the guide for folks with the SP/XP boats since my HX's arrangement is different.

I think I have this issued solved. Tuned the ski, not 100% but almost there.

Have another issue, will start a new thread.
