No I haven’t , o have been looking to see if anyone else had this issue. I think you are right but I don’t know why it’s going on so far. I am thinking the motor is too far forward
 
Was the motor removed? for it to be too far forward, could be the wrong size driveshaft if it was replaced before. I think your driveshaft should be 17in .
 
My driveshaft is 17.75” My buddy was helping me yesterday and he is convinced that the back of the motor is to high. Looking through the hull the pto does not look centered, I took it into a shop 2 weeks ago because I thought the alignment was off after the 2nd shaft stripped out and they claimed they aligned it but another shaft and pto damaged tells me that was a lie
