Thanks Karl for the info on the rev limiter. The switch appears to mechanically function but still I'm limited to 3500 rpms. I shorted across the wires to see if the problem abated but to no avail.

I mentioned that the right engine is new. I checked in the engine compartment and noticed an oil return line has a plug in it. Is this correct? Is there some other electrical lockout that comes into play if this line is blocked?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Plug....

I don't know your circumstances as to the problem you and Karl are working on, but I do know that if the line your talking about is coming from your rotary chamber, it is suppose to be going back to your oil tank.

:agree: The line that is plugged, is it going to the center of the engine under the carbs? If it is, its supplying lubrication to the Rotary Gear Shaft in the cases of the engine. It is feed from the oil Injector tank. Both engines should have the same supply tube. Follow it to be sure it wasn't blocked off and that it has oil in the line. Failure to have proper lubrication to the Rotary Gear Shaft will cause major engine problems. I don't recall if you said you were still using the oil injector or not. You must maintain the injector tank to keep lube going to both engines Rotary Gear Shafts. Bring me up to date as to where you are with the Rev limit problem.

As to the rev limiter. The switch does move and return correctly. I bypassed the switch ( didn't remove the switch just shorted across the leads)with no luck increasing the rpms above 3500.

As to the oil injector line. I followed it to a "y" where one line goes to the port engine under the exhaust manifold. I couln't see where it was attached to the engine but it does return to the oil tank.
Following the other side of the "y" it goes across and behind (forward) of the right engine and is plugged with a bolt and clamp. It seems that that should be attached to the right engine somewhere but where?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the help, Carl

oil lines

Don't know if this is the wrong thing to do, please let me know if it is admins.
But it is the easiest way to explain this and i dont want you to ruin your motor if oil is not getting through. If it helps perhaps you should think about purchasing a premium membership so you can download the files yourself.

Thank you guns; I will join the premium site.

The diagram is very helpful. Apparently, I have to pull the manifold to get the oil return line in place.

Karl;
The line that is blocked off appears to be a return line based on observing the port engine. I will have to remove the exhaust manifold??
