I went down to marina one day to find my boat would not start once again. Pulled battery out and put on charger but would not charge properly. I just bought this battery less than a month ago. Something fried it. Bought a new battery and installed it, tried the key, nothing. All my accessories work though. I disconnected the new battery so as not to fry the new one. Can anyone please tell me what could possibly be doing this? I have had nothing but heartache so far with this boat and alot of regret. Had hoped for some fun with it, no such luck. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

If there's a short causing it to self destruct the battery there will be some signs of that, how are the fuses in the MPEM box? Take a close look at all of your main battery and ground cables, if it was enough to destroy the battery there was some heat that went along with it at the short that should be apparent.

Unplug your connection at the magneto and look for any hot spots on the plug in as well. Do you have a multi-meter and know how to use it to check for resistance and ohms? You'll need one for diagnosing the problem.
